Rookie Camp Roster
The Blazers Rookie Camp will open on July 10 lasting 4 days. Coach Ramsey and Asst. Coach McKinney will hold daily doubles every day of the brief session. All but 2 sessions will be open to the public including 2 scrimmage-type games at 7pm Sunday and Tuesday. A total of 15 players have been invited, including 8 of the Blazers 10 picks from recent college draft. Top pick Wally Walker currently is unsigned and is not expected to appear. 10th rd. pick Marcos Liete of Pepperdine will also be absent as he is a member of the Brazilian Olympic team that will begin play in Montreal on July 18.

Major Jones - Albany St.Major Jones was the 2oth pick in the recent draft. He played Forward and Center in his 4 yrs at Albany St. “Rebounding is the strong point of my game. I don’t think there will be a problem adjusting to professional basketball because my bother Oliver has prepared me for it.” Oliver is the current coach of Albany St. Jones is the younger brother to Caldwell Jones who played last season in the ABA
Jeff Tyson - W. MichiganJeff Tyson was the 3rd rd. pick for the Blazers. Playing forward, the left-hander led led Western Michigan in scoring during his Junior and Senior seasons

Johnny Davis - DaytonJohnny Davis opted to go hardship after 3 seasons at Dayton. He finished his career as the 8th leading scorer in school history. “The reason I chose to go hardship was because of my situation at home. That was the main factor. I didn’t decide to go this way just to play basketball for a lot of money."
Davis played for the US team during the 1975 Pan-Amercican games in Mexico City David Everett - Grand CanyonDavid Everett, an NAIA All-American at Grand Canyon University during his Senior season, Everett was the Blazers 4th rd. Everett was a starting guard and played a big role for the Antelopes 74/75 NAIA championship
